The most common symptoms are:

Pain spreading from your chest to your arms or jaw, or down both arms, the neck, or shoulders

Discomfort in the chest with sweating, lightheadedness, nausea, fainting or shortness of breath

Uncomfortable squeezing, fullness, pressure or pain in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes

Less common symptoms:

Cold sweat, palpitations, or paleness

Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath

Feeling dizzy

Unusual chest, stomach or abdominal pain, could feel like heartburn

Unexplained weakness, fatigue or anxiety

According to the American Medical Association[1], you are probably not having a heart attack if: the pain worsens when you breathe in, the pain changes when you move, or feels sharp like a knife.

The symptoms may subside with rest, but even so, you should Call 911 if you observe or have any of the symptoms above. The American Heart Association suggests chewing an aspirin to counter blood clotting, as blood clotting may be the cause of the episode. Stop all activity or tell the person having an attack to stop all activity, and wait for help to arrive.

Some Facts and Funny “Senior Moments”

1. Using the stairs in your two story house, once you’re half way there, you stop to catch your breath. Then you can’t remember whether you were going up or down the stairs.

2. When John McCain, United States presidential candidate, can’t remember how many homes he owns.

3. You are in the driver’s seat of your car, which is parked at your home, and you’re holding the car keys. Then you can’t figure out if you’ve just returned from an outing or if you’ve just gotten in the car to go somewhere.

4. You are becoming very stressed because you seem to be having more and more memory lapses and brain fogs. Then you learn that stress is a major cause of a weakening memory. Isn’t that ironic?

Pick up food, pick up food...

5. A highly respected Buddhist monk explained that he would often say to himself over and over again what task he was doing at the present time. Such as, “going to the bathroom, “turning on the lamp”, “picking up the food” and so no. However, it seems his reason for doing this was to stay in the hear and now, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. But this method works great for avoiding senior moments as well, and perhaps the senior moment is a sign that one is living in the past a great deal and thus cannot recall what is going on in the here and now.

6. Lack of sleep can bring about more senior moments. The power nap is a good way to keep the mind sharp and assure that you will remember where you are, why, and what you are supposed to do next.

7. Famous senior moments:

Q. Have you seen my keys?

A. They are in your hand.

Q. Have you seen my glasses, hat, shoes, and purse.

A. They are on your face, it is on you head, they are on your feet, it is hanging from your arm.

8. A man goes to his doctor. ”Doc”, he says “I have this terrible problem, I keep forgetting very important things. What do you think I should do?” And the doc replies, “Pay me now.”

9. A man age 85 goes into a bar. He sees an elderly women, looks about 87 years old. He sits next to her. She says hello and asks him his name. He says, “My name is Robert, and you are…?” She replies, “Ester”. Then he says “So, do I come here often?”

10. And of course, we’ve all walked into a room and forgotten why we are there. Seniors, don’t feel so bad. Plenty of 30 and 40-year-olds do the same thing. It can happen to anyone if experiencing a lot of stress or lack of sleep.

A proper medical assessment of ED is very important. Erectile dysfunction can sometimes be caused by another medical condition such as diabetes, high blood pressure or arterial disease or by the side effects of medication.

Your doctor is in a position to correct the problem if, for example, a change of medicine is all that is required, then of course your doctor is the best person to arrange that for you.

Preparing for your First Appointment

Your anxiety about mentioning ED will probably soon disappear – no matter what sex your doctor is. Doctors know that ED is a far more common problem than people like to admit and will be ready to help.

Plan Your Appointment

A good idea is to plan ahead. Work out what you’re going to say to the doctor. In particular, think about what words you’re going to use because a lot of men feel quite petrified about how to express the problem in words. All you need say is: ‘Doctor - I think I’ve got a problem with my erections.’ With the ice broken, the conversation should move smoothly on thereafter.

Your Doctor’s Assessment

The doctor will ask you a set of questions about your erections and sex. You can be better prepared to answer them if you think in advance about what they might be.

The First questions will probably be about the erection itself, such as:

• Can you get an erection at all?

• Do you have an erection on waking in the morning sometimes or never?

• If you do get an erection, how often is it hard enough for penetration?

• If you can successfully penetrate your partner, do you then lose the erection?

• Can you get the erection back again?

• Can you get an erection if you masturbate?

Lifestyle Questions

Then there will almost certainly be questions about your lifestyle:

• Are you in a stable relationship or single?

• How long have you been in the relationship?

• Other than a problem with erections, is everything else alright with your partner?

• If you have more than one partner, does the erection problem occur with only one of them or with all?

• How much do you smoke?

• How much do you drink?

• Do you use drugs?

It is important to answer these questions honestly. Remember: what you tell the doctor is confidential. He or she will also ask you questions about your general health and check what medication (if any) that you are on.

Oral Treatments

There are only three oral drugs approved by the FDA to treat erectile dysfunction: Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra. All work by increasing the flow of blood into the penis so that when a man is sexually stimulated, he can get an erection.

What Are the Differences Between Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra?

Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra work by a similar mechanism to cause erections. There are subtle differences in how long the drug works and how quickly it works.

Levitra works a little longer than Viagra. They both take effect in about 30 minutes. With Levitra, the effects last for about 5 hours. With Viagra, the effects last approximately 4 hours.

Cialis works a bit faster (within about 15 minutes), and the effects last much longer — up to 36 hours in some cases.

CDC recommends a yearly seasonal flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against seasonal influenza.
<space>
Vaccination is especially important for people at high risk of serious flu complications, including young children, pregnant women, people with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease and people 65 years and older.

• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are also effective.
<space>
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
<space>
• Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
<space>
• If you are sick with flu-like illness, CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or for other necessities. (Your fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine.) Keep away from others as much as possible. This is to keep from making others sick.
• While sick, limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

<space>
• If you get seasonal or novel H1N1 flu, antiviral drugs can treat the flu. The flu prevention medication that is currently making head-waves is Tamiflu. You should only take Tamiflu if you feel the on-set of the flu and have symptoms of the Flu.
<space>
• Antiviral drugs are prescription medicines (pills, liquid or an inhaled powder) that fight against the flu by keeping flu viruses from reproducing in your body.
<space>
• Antiviral drugs can make your illness milder and make you feel better faster. They may also prevent serious flu complications.
<space>
• Antiviral drugs are not sold over-the-counter and are different from antibiotics.
<space>
• Antiviral drugs may be especially important for people who are very sick (hospitalized) or people who are sick with the flu and who are at increased risk of serious flu complications, such as pregnant women, young children and those with chronic health conditions.
<space>
• For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started within the first 2 days of symptoms.
<space>
• Flu-like symptoms include fever (usually high), headache, extreme tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose muscle aches, and sometimes diarrhea and vomiting.

Today’s society is all about productivity, social pressure, work…It is hard to imagine that there could be one adult on earth without an ounce of stress on his/her shoulders. Stress in itself can destroy your life, ruin your health condition, and be hard on friendships and relationships. Learning how to deal and cope with life’s challenges and stress, and knowing how to identify symptoms of a high level of stress can help you enrich your life and make you see life through a more positive outcome.

There are many stress-management theories that are pretty obvious but that we always seem to forget once we’re under pressure. First of all, having good nights of sleep is a step towards success. Sleep helps you release tension in your body and get rid of useless stress you might have accumulated over time. You also need to evaluate stressful situations, set your priorities and set realistic goals. You have to take one step at a time, instead of trying to accomplish everything at the same time. If you are stressed because of work, taking one bite at a time will help you obtain a better result at the end of the day.

Your work will be well done and even if you couldn’t achieve everything you were supposed to, if you set your priorities, you will have managed the most important tasks. Working off stress and anxiety is also a really good way to calm yourself down. Exercising will release tension and anxiety. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle will keep you mentally sane, which is essential when trying to fight a strong opponent like Stress. There are many other stress management techniques such as not procrastinating, learn to say no, stop worrying about things you cannot change…Choose what suits you best.

It is also important to identify what are the symptoms of stress. Many people might not think they are as stressed as they actually are. Stress or anxiety symptoms can be:

Back pain and stiff neck

Constipation or diarrhea and upset stomach

Depression and Fatigue

Headache

High blood pressure

Weight gain or loss

Now not all these conditions are automatically stress-related. In doubt, you can always consult a health specialist. Make sure that when those symptoms appear in your life, you pay attention. You can experience these symptoms one at a time or many at the same time, but in either way, make sure you take the time to stop and listen to what your body tells you.

So even if you had not had sex with your wife in the last 2 years does not make any difference as long as you can spark the fire in her still. Here are some tips that can really get you going.

Sometimes age can be a factor in sex drive. This can be due to physical, emotional or certain lifestyle related issues. As we age we also lose the energy and eventually lose the interest in sex. Again hormonal change can be another factor. Aging causes in lowering the level of certain chemicals in our body required for sex drive. Also physical changes in the body can be another factor in lower sex drive. The social surrounding and the environment also contribute to the factor of lower sex drive while ageing. Nevertheless it’s a natural process and should be enjoyed fully.

To retain and improve your sex life you must have regular sex. This will always respond you better to sexual needs. Just as you take care of your health on regular basis having regular sex can keep your sex life healthy. But sometimes you might have problem in maintaining the regularity with your partner.

You can always try Viagra to revive your love life. This medicine helps in allowing you to maintain an erection for an extended period of time. Only take Viagra if your doctor is aware of all of your medical conditions, as Viagra can be harmful for men with heart problems.

No matter what there are lots of medicines available that can enhance your sex life and your sex drive too. For example, Damiana can be a good sex enhancer in both men and women. It is found in Mexico and Southern US mostly. Other than that Yohimbe can be used for Erectile Dysfunction in men. Moreover there are pills like Provacyle that not only enhances the sex drive in men but also overall health of the body.

Whether you are a man or a woman, losing your hair might be a very sensitive thing to cope with. Man and woman usually take pride in their hair and losing it might indicate a loss confidence and self-esteem. While there are no products to make your hair grow back, there are solutions that can help you slow down the hair loss, or offer quick fixes to make your mane appear thicker.
It is important to first start by understanding what is causing the hair loss. Hair loss can be permanent or temporary. In permanent situations, usually the condition might be hereditary and cannot be stopped. For temporary hair loss, there are many causes that can be established:

Medical conditions and illness

Hormonal change

Medication or treatment

Bad diet

For men, losing hair is an obliged passage of aging. One way of coping with the condition would be to simply ignore it, as every man will go down that road, but for men that are bothered by the thinning of their hair, there are solutions that can slow down the process. There are drugs and treatments available on the market, and also natural hair loss remedies that can help you reduce the loss. Topical ingredients such as minoxidil or oral medication like finasteride (Propecia) can be used, but it is important to consult a health professional before using any medication.

For women, hair loss can be a difficult condition to deal with as well. A lot of women will associate hair loss with a diminution of sex-appeal and a feeling of shame. Women have more solutions offered to them as the hair loss is not a condition that will likely affect all of them due to hormones and age. Scalp massages can help increase the circulation at the scalp and stimulate hair growth. It is also important to start using milder hair products if the hair loss is important. Things like dying your hair, styling it with heating instruments such as irons and dryers can greatly damage your hair and make it fall out.

Finally, a tip that both men and women can use: eat properly and exercise well. A healthy body is recognizable through the exterior appearance of it. Your hair and nails will give away your overall health condition. A better diet will stimulate hair growth and will change your general appearance.

In the last couple of years and evident rise of the cost of prescription medication has been observed in North America. While there has been a rise in the cost of mostly everything, medication is a delicate subject, as you cannot cut expenses on medication. With the actual recession period, it can be quite hard to squeeze in the dollars to pay for essential prescriptions. Is there any alternative to expensive medication? What can be done to ensure you always have the budget to buy your life-saving medication?

There are not that many solutions for patients unable to pay for their medication. There is an association called Partnership for Prescription Assurance that can help patients. The association will help qualifying patients who lack coverage to buy their needed medication through private or public program. Most of the qualifying patients might be lucky enough to get the medication free or nearly free. One thing that is important to remember is that you cannot skip a dose of medication to save the rest for later because:

You will not get the full benefits of the medication you are taking if it is not taken properly;

Your physician might think that the medication is not working and simply prescribe you something else without seeking further information.

There are other tactics that may help you save on your medication costs, such as seeing a dental assistant vs seeing a dentist. You need to remember that nothing can be done against the rise of medication. For example, make sure you are fully aware of what is the coverage of your insurance policy. Opting for a mail-in program (where you have to mail your receipt for prescription drugs to the insurance company) might help you save a considerate amount on medication. Shop around for your prescriptions. The cost of certain medication might differ from one pharmacy to another, just like the cost of food differs in every grocery store. You might not think you can save a lot by spending a couple of dollars less on your prescription, but those dollars can add up in the long run. Check on the web for a reputable online pharmacy. Look in papers and magazines if there are any incentives for transferred or new prescription. Some drugstores may offer small prizes like a 25$ gift card for new patients or transferred prescription. Always remember to ask your doctor if there are free samples of that medication that he or she might have received from pharmaceutical companies. It is obviously not a long term solution, but that can save a couple of dollars here and there.
